The original Writer of this Work is Mahakavi Tirumalaarya or Tirumalaingaarya. His father Alasingaraarya was a friend and Puraanika for King Doddadevaraja of Mysuru Kingdom. The Writer's mother Singamma was the daughter of Appajayya or Govindarajajah's, who was later the Pradhaan of King Kantirava Narasaraja of Mysuru Kingdom. This Poet was born in 1645 at Srirangapatna. The Writer spent his childhood and went to the same school with the future King of Mysuru Chikkadevaraaja. This Writer before he became the Pradhan of King Chikkadevaraaja, was working as Aasthaana Pundit of King Doddadevaraja and during this period has written many poetries in Sanskrit and Kannada. He died 1706 when he was the Pradhaan for King Kanteerava Narasaraaja. The Authors of this book collected the manuscript, edited and published. This Work is Champu Prabhanda. The story is about the life history of King Chikkadevaraaja and his conquests. This is a historical book of Yadava Kingdom of Srirangapatna and Mysuru, for the readers of the old Kannada language.
