Adbhutamsukamsukam Natakam
अद्भुतंशुकम् नाटकम्
Author:  Jaggu Alwar Iyengar
Language:   Sanskrit
No of Pages:   112
Description:
The Author has based this book on the Sabha and Vaana Parvaas of Mahabharatha and has dramatized the normal story into a interesting drama, with a little modification, by introducing a golden deer and shortening the the period of Paandava's Vanavaasa. This drama was written when the Author was quite an young poet, and is appreciated by none other than Mahaamahopaadyaaya, Arthashaastra - Visharadha Dr. R Shaama Sastry in the Introduction to the book. The drama is called "Adbhutamsukam" or the "Astonishing Garment" and the astonishment lies, in the endless length of the garment that was worn by Draupadi on the day, Dushyaasana attempted to outrage her modesty. This drama contains six acts and affords an interesting reading with with the Author's simple and lucid style and elegance, with humor thrown in between. This is a good book for Sanskrit loving people. Read on and enjoy.
