Description:
The Author has translated 'The Count of Montechristo' in French language by the famous French Author Alexander Dumas who was residing in Paris, into Kannada Language in 3 Parts for the benefit of Kannada speaking people. This story is about the political and social environment of France in 18th century when both devoted believers and non believers were in existence. Kings were dictators instead being benevolent Kings. Therefore there came to be two parties. One belonging to King and the other to the people. Although some people were wise and decent, there were others who were bad like the Jacobin party who in 1792 guillotined the King and installed a Democratic party. Even then the Jacobins continued their reign of terror and final it stopped when Napoleon Bonaparte, a military General became the First Consul of France. This story is about the Count of Montecresto during such a period. This book is Part 3 of the story. Good story to read on.
