The Authors says that normally women face the brunt of any problem in the society. Also social values are measured in terms of women only. The story is about population control. Women is as responsible as men for family control. But unnecessarily women are burdened more than men and she is the one who will have to bear the difficulties of family control. The Author has beautifully characterized how the he inner mind of a woman comes out as the Author characterizes her husband, his brother and the in-laws and the society. The story has been written in simple and keep the reader highly interested in the story until the end. Good novel for Kannada knowing people.
