The original author of this Work is Poet Raaghavaanka from Hampi in Karnataka. It is estimated that this Poet was from 1st Centrury AD. His biography is written by Poet Chikkananjesh by the name of Raagavaanka Charite. The Author of this book has collected many manuscripts of this book, scrutinized, edited and published this book. This book has 14 Chapters and written as poem in Vaardhika Shatpadhi. There is a difference between the the story of Harishchandra written in this book and other books. Here Harishchandra is narrated as a bhaktha of Bhagavan Shiva whereas other books show him as a bhaktha of Bhagavaan Vishnu. Read on.
