The original writer of this Work is Aachaarya Dinnaanga the founder champion of the Buddhist Systematic Logic. All other later works have been greatly influenced by this Work of his. This Work stands unique in the whole history of India. There is no other single technical work which has exclusively shaped and molded the entire intellectual activity. Aachaarya Dinnaaga was born as a Brahmin in Kanchi in Tamil Nadu and well trained in Orthodox learning and later converted to Buddhism. Sanskrit original of this book was not found to be available and therefore the Author had to get a Tibetian verson in Tibetian text form and translated that to Sanskrit in this book along with the critical notes. It is a very good and difficult work by the Author.

The Author was born in Mysore in a Srivaishnava family. He completed his education in Mysore and obtained a Doctorate in Philosophy (PhD) in Shantiniketan. He worked as the Director in Oriental Research Institute Mysore. He was a great person with many achievements and recipient of many awards and accolades. He was a scholar and prolific editor who wrote, translated and edited over 23 works in 4 languages, including translations from manuscripts and supported by 33 publications in 68 library holdings. These works have found their place in libraries across the world as well as the British Museum.
