However, the fact that Indican civilisation which is equally ancient was not considered by Westerners (until recently). In spite of this, it can be seen that many travellers like Megasthenes, Houenthsang etc have visited India from countries like Greece, China etc. have said glorious and wise things about India. All the countries of the World gained knowledge, philosophy, science and technology from the Indians. Author says that the above statements are made not as a claim for pride but as a cold record of facts. A must read book for younger generation.
