The Author has wrote the English Translation of this book while on a trip to USA. But it remained dormant for some time before it was published as a serial in the Mysore Association in Mumbai. Later on, the serial was published as a book during the Silver Jubilee year of the Palalli M. A. Narayana Iyengar Charities. The Association wanted to give the book as complimentary to the members. The purpose of this book was to give an overall view to readers of the book and therefore has just the translation of the verses only without explanations. Srimad Bhagavad Gita is one of the most celebrated epics in the Hinduism. Most of the Hindus as well as foreigners are well aware of this epic wherein Sri Krishna illustrated the need for doing his duty to get on the war with the Kauravas to Arjuna and explained various consequences for not doing his duty and educated him on many things about Hindu philosophy including that one has to perform his duties or actions for the sake of uplifting Dharma. Srimad Bhagavad Gita should be essentially read by all to know about Hindu Dharma.
